The sketch on poetry of Zaolzie is an attempt to analyze the leading authors in the region in the years 1920-2016. The period was divided into sub-periods: the interwar years - the period of creative activity of such poets as K. Berger, O. Zawisza, L. Kobiela and the debutants: A. Fierla, P. Kubisz, J. Ondrusz, G. Przeczek, J.S. Polaczek. In the year 1936, there was established the Section of Literature and Art at Macierz Szkolna [Polish Schools Organization], which aimed to formally protect Polish artistic activity in Zaolzie.
